Press Reviews: Art: Architecture

Country Life Magazine - 17 April 2008

Situated in a striking listed building by architect Ernö Goldfinger, the Belgravia Gallery was the perfect setting for an exhibition combining art and architecture

Composer Karl Jenkins, whose particular repertoire includes the theme tune to the British Airways advertisement, officially opened the Art: Architecture exhibition at the Belgravia Gallery in Mayfair, London.

Architecture isn't always considered to be art, in terms of something to view, but Anna Hunter, the managing director of the gallery, argues that 'architecture is the art of our lives'.

It's for this reason that the Belgravia Gallery has arranged a special exhibition, showcasing a number of works by celebrated artists and architects - displaying architecture as art.

Around 200 guests attended the private viewing, where they were treated to works by architects such as Lord Foster, Sir Nicholas Grimshaw and Eugene Kohn, and artist such as Andrea Vizzini, Gerry Judah and Michael Elkan.
