The contrasting styles of the two accomplished but amateur artists will go
on show at the Belgravia Gallery, in London, where both men have exhibited previously.
The prince's more traditional pictures show his affection for Balmoral and
the Scottish landscape, while the former South African president's work includes
one of his own handprint, using black paint, which contains a shape resembling
the African continent in the middle.
The second piece uses hand imprints of children affected by HIV which surround
Mr Mandela's left hand.
Laura Hunter, the gallery manager, said: "These works will go down in history.
The prince's work is of high quality. If you compare it to his earlier work, it
show's he has really developed his style,"
The prince has raised £4 million for his charitable foundation from the sale
of his work, while proceeds from the sale of Mr Mandela's paintings will benefit
the Nelson Mandela Trust, which helps HIV sufferers and children in South Africa.
