Born in 1964 in Starokonstantinov, Ukraine, Bratanyuk studied at the Odessa Art College - named after Grekov. He also graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts (the I.E Repin State Academic Institute of Arts, Sclulpture and Architecture,
St. Petersburg).
Bratanyuk has exhibited in numerous shows which span from the early eighties through to 2009, in several countries around the world. Works can be found in the State Theatre Museum, St.
Petersburg; Museum of the Vaganova Ballet; The Museum of Modern Russian Art, London; The Museum of the Malta Chapel, St. Petersburg, The Regional Museum, Samara, Starokonstantinov, Ukraine and Chelyabinsk National Gallery.
His paintings are in many private collections in Russia, Ukraine, U.K., Finland, Germany,France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Greece, Egypt, Canada, USA and Japan.
