This sculpture is a composite of pelvic bone elements from both sexes and several different ages: a 23 year old mother, a 14 year old boy and a 93 year old man. Most of us enter life through one pelvis, our mother's, and we carry on through life
supported by our own pelvis - it is a huge, unifying element of our shared humanity.
