Charles Perron (1862-1936) was a sculptor and painter and this painting shows the roundness one associates with sculpture. He was a member of the Salon des Artistes Francaise wherein he exhibited regularly from 1896 onwards.
Perron was awarded numerous medals and mentions at the Salon and was shown at the Exposition Universelle in 1900 and awarded a first class medal in 1910.
Most of Perron's work is now held in the museum of Aurillac
