"My Uncle George was a water polo champion and my Aunt Dora loved dogs. I found an old photograph taken at a public swimming pool and it reminded me so much of them I decided to use it for a picture. I also included my daughter's Boston terrier. The
location in the painting is a place we used to moor our boat on the Thames bank at Cookham."
